Bug using the crop tool

I have tried to report this as a bug but the page is not working.

Bug using the crop tool - If you reduce the size of a crop whilst the fill is set on "content-aware fill" PS shows a program error and the CA progress message appears on the screen.

A restart of PS is required to clear the error message

V27.10.0

Windows 11

Until Adobe fixes this, a workaround that avoids the restart: switch the crop tool's fill option from Content-Aware to Transparent before shrinking the crop, then fill the empty area manually afterward if you need it. For the blank report page, privacy or script-blocking extensions are often the culprit even when the ad blocker is off, so disabling those for the Adobe site may help too.

Hi Paul! Happy to walk you through it 🙂

At the top of this Photoshop board you'll see tabs — click Bug reports, then the Report a bug button. That opens the official bug form (this thread here is the Questions tab, so it doesn't count as a bug report).

About the blank page after you click Continue: that step usually just needs the browser to behave — try submitting in a private/incognito window or a different browser, with any ad blocker turned off, and make sure you're signed in with your Adobe ID first. If it still shows a blank page after a couple of tries, post back here and let me know which browser you're using.

One more tip: that "similar items" screen is worth a look before you submit — if your crop bug is already listed there, you can vote and comment on it instead of filing a new one.

Hi Paul! This does look like a genuine bug — and I can see other users reporting the same content-aware crop problem on version 27.10, so it's worth logging properly.

Bug reports belong in the Bug reports tab of this Photoshop board (link at the top of the page) — that's where Adobe's engineers track them. It includes a template asking for your version and OS, which you already have: 27.10.0 / Windows 11. Please repost it there with a screenshot or short screen recording of the error if you can; that helps a lot with bug triage.

If the reporting page glitched for you earlier, try again from the Bug reports tab — it worked fine just now on my end.

    Hi

    Thanks.

I have tried 4 times to report via the “report bug” page on the site. It allows me to input the details and searches for similar items. When i choose the option to continue it goes to a page with adobe headers and footers but no content in the details section.

How do i report a bug on the bug report page :-) ?

Hi Paul — I just tested the Report a bug page myself and it loads fine, so this should work for you too:

    1. On the Photoshop board (community.adobe.com/p/photoshop), click "Create a post" at the top, then choose "Report a bug".

    2. Describe the issue briefly and click Next — the form should advance to the details screen (title, OS, version) where you finish and submit.

If the page still goes blank after clicking Next, that's almost certainly the browser: try a private/Incognito window, temporarily disable ad-blockers or extensions, clear cache and cookies — or try a different browser (Chrome, Edge or Firefox). Also double-check you're signed in with your Adobe ID.

Hope that gets your crop bug filed! 🙂
