Camera Raw Denoise Stops Processing After Update / GPU Acceleration Disabled Windows 10, Photoshop 27.8.0, Camera Raw 18.4.1

I updated Photoshop 2025 yesterday which apparently came with a camera raw update.  The denoise in camera raw stops after 15-25 percent then does not reactivate on the raw file when selected.

Hi @ArtWPhoto

Apologies for the delayed response. I’m hopeful that the issue has been resolved by now. If not, we have recently released Photoshop 27.9.1 and Camera Raw 18.5. Please update Photoshop and Camera Raw to the latest available versions and check whether Denoise works correctly. If the issue persists and GPU acceleration remains disabled, please share the following information with us:

  • Photoshop System Info: go to Help > System Info, copy the information, and paste it into your reply

  • A screen recording demonstrating the issue

  • Any error message displayed when Denoise stops processing or GPU acceleration is disabled

The information above will help us better understand your current configuration and investigate the issue further.

Thanks, Srishti Bali | Community & Engagement Strategist, Digital Imaging | Adobe

It turns out it’s not a result of the update for PS 2025 or the Camera Raw update.  First I reinstalled the previous version which did not solve the problem on my Macbook.   Last night I went to my Mac desktop which had not been updated, and the same issue happened with denoise in Camera Raw.  The button is there, but when activated, it shows progress for about the first 10% then just stops.  There were no other changes to my computer.

Hey, @ArtWPhoto. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll help you figure this out. Please share the system information from Photoshop Help > System info, then copy and paste it into a text document, and upload and attach it here.

Also, please make sure you have the latest versions of Photoshop & Camera Raw, since you mentioned Photoshop 2025 in your post.

Thanks!

Hi,

After updating to Camera Raw 18.4.1, GPU acceleration stopped working.

I'm using:

  • Photoshop 27.8.0
  • Camera Raw 18.4.1
  • Windows 10 22H2
  • Intel UHD Graphics 620

Everything was working fine before the update.

Now Camera Raw shows:

"Camera Raw graphics acceleration is not supported by your system."

The Use Graphics Processor option is locked to Off.

I already tried:

  • Updating the Intel graphics driver.
  • Resetting Camera Raw GPU settings.
  • Recreating the CameraRaw and GPU folders.
  • Reinstalling Camera Raw.

Nothing helped.

Has anyone experienced the same issue after updating to 18.4.1?
