Camera Raw Masking not working

When I select subject in Camera Raw Masking it always selects the top of the images and not the subject.

Please Help. If I try selecting subject in Camera Raw masking selects a bit of sky in the top of the image. No matter what image I use it has the same issue. I have dsabled the processor.

I took another image of whitch I had the RAW file here as I have the Raw of the bird on another ext drive.Not sure what you mean by all purpose trouble-shooting. Regards Wally
