Camera raw opens and processes one file perfectly but I get an error if I then try to open a second raw file

If Camera Raw opens the first RAW file normally but gives an error when you try to open a second one, I’d suspect a Photoshop/Camera Raw cache, memory, or GPU issue rather than the RAW file itself.

Try these in order:

1. Update Photoshop and Camera Raw through the Creative Cloud app.
2. Close Photoshop, restart your computer, and try opening two different RAW files.
3. In Photoshop, go to Edit → Preferences → Camera Raw → Performance and disable Use Graphics Processor, then restart Photoshop.
4. Clear the Camera Raw cache from the same Performance settings.
5. Make sure you have plenty of free disk space, especially on the drive used for Photoshop’s scratch disk.
6. Test with another RAW file from a different folder/card. If only files from one camera/card fail, the files may be corrupted.
7. If the problem continues, reset Photoshop preferences and test again.
