Camera raw plugin

When I want to edit in photoshop CS6 from Lightroom 4 I get message saying I need camera raw 7.4 or above. I have downloaded camera Raw 9 but the Adobe Application manager fails, saying Adobe Application manager may be damaged download a new copy. I have done this twice and still get the same message.

All I am trying to do is update camera raw in photoshop. I'm new to these programs so any help would be appreciated.
