Question

Can no longer find awesome brush mode

Hi all.  I'm hoping someone can help me find a fab brush mode I've previously used but can longer identify.  If you look at the posted image of the village, you will see brush strokes criss crossing over each other adding a nice bit of colour burn each time.  I  don't need to change colours it just picks it up from the image.  Now I've come to use it again I can't work it out.  I've been through all the brush modes inc colour burn, dodge etc. I just use a simple hard round brush.  Also tried it with opacity turned down but no luck.

Any ideas much appreciated?

Regards

Darren

Wet Edges will do that.

Note, where the first stroke (magenta) crosses itself it remains the same density, but where the second stroke (red) crosses the first stroke, the density is greater.

I don't actually knopw how this works, and nor can I equate the tool tip with what we see on the screen.  Sometimes it's best to take a black-box approach to these situations, and be happy that it does what it does.

It's useful to know that with full black as the foreground colour, a fully hard brush with 100% opacity laid down a 40% stroke, and where the strokes crossed, they reduced to 20%, but nowhere close to full black.

Could it be a regular brush using the Brush tool (as opposed to the Dodge tool, Burn tool, or Sponge tool) with a Blend Mode applied in the Options bar (Window > Options)?
