Can't find PS on my PC

Yesterday I upgraded to version 2026 and after it was installed then I installed the version 2027 (strange that two upgrades appeared one after the other...). But when I go to search on my PC (Windows 11 64x) and type Photoshop it only shows the 2026 version. When I open PS from within the Creative Cloud, the small art-window loading says © {date} - 2025... But when I click on system info on my PS it says: Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.0.0 20251015.r.25 d1c1320 What is happening?

According to your first post, you did find it and you did open it - you just thought the numbers didn't check out. But they do, and you do have the right version.

What specifically, aside from the numbers, is not working?

If you're looking for the start icon, it's in the Windows start menu > all apps. It will be called Photoshop 2026. You can right-click it and make a shortcut in the taskbar, on the desktop itself, or wherever you want.

If you did install two updates, then I'm guessing that 27.0 overwrote the previously updated 26.??.

Do you have all of your presets like brushes etc.?

The new PS is a total mess. I am clicking on Spot Healing brush tool and it doesn't remove the artifact that I want to remove. Did they only make it to be used for humans in an image? If so why? There 1000 other things that people are working on. It wil be useful at least a video to inform us what moved where and how it now works! PS is not free we are paying for it. If I can't work and I have to post every time here, then what am I paying for?? It looks they rush to present the new product but without sufficient technical controls prior that...

I had to close PS and open it again. And now the Spot Healing brush tool is removing artifacts BUT, it often adds a white spot in the area it is used. When nearby there are no such white spots to be found...

No one has addressed my question; that I can't find PS on my PC. I wanted to pin it to the taskbar, but can't even find it on the search field on my PC.

It's like they always did with cars: next year's models are officially launched in october, to great fanfare 😉

The fact that version number is one digit higher than "model year" is just accident.

There's no Photoshop version 2027!!! There recent real version of Photoshop is 27.0. The term Photoshop 2026 isn't a official title.

This is correct. Photoshop was released in 2025 so the copyright dat is 2025. The internal version is 27.0......

The entire version numbering system is admittedly a bit confusing. Therefore, I would always stick to the internal versioning (27.xx) and use that. That way, everyone knows which version is meant.
