just launched Photoshop and got this message.

Could not complete your request because the file is already in use or was left open by another application. Use “Chooser” to select a printer and try again.  Haven't even tried to open a file.

Do you tried to start Photoshop with a file, like double click on a .psd file in the Windows Explorer?

If yes, try to start Photoshop via double click on the program icon.

Do you have tried to reset the preferences as @mglush wrote?

Do you have done a cold boot of your machine?

Do you see Photoshop.exe running in the task manager when you quit the application? Terminate that process.

Go to your Task Manager and kill all processes that maybe running in the background such as queued print jobs, etc...

Hi! What version of Photoshop are your running?

Have you tried resetting your preferences? Here is a help doc that will walk you through the process--I would suggest doing it manually so you can back up any of your important or customized settings.

Let us know if that fixes the issue, or if you are still having the same issye.
