Does anyone know how to recover a file in this situation? I usually press Ctrl + S very frequently, but at that moment I was just finishing some small color adjustments to submit the artwork since the deadline was December 18. I had already been working on the piece for 4–5 days.
I also checked the AutoRecover folder, but the file there was empty

Hey, @natural_Giggles0792. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll move your response to discussions for now. Was the document/image stored on an external drive or in a folder associated with cloud backup services? Working through a network or external drive is unpredictable & is not recommended. Please head here to troubleshoot a corrupted file: https://adobe.ly/4qYvIP1

I hope this helps. Thanks!
