Can't save optimised images to same file location as opened file

Save an image using save for web option does not save the file to the same location as opened file with save as to original folder and legacy save options ticked in file handling.

The setting in preferences is for regular Save As (File > Save As), and does not affect Save for Web.
But Save for Web will remember the last used save location.
