Cancel Button Doesn’t Work on Remove Background Process in Photoshop

When I accidently click "Remove Background" Photoshop pops up a dialog to offer to remove the background. After clicking the X on the top right corner of the dialog, you would expect PS to follow commands and cancel the process. Oh no, it doesnt want to give up that easy. It wants to create frustration and heartache for you as much as it can due to bad coding. In proceeds to tell me that its "Removing Background" and when I click cancel, it does nothing except showing that its still doing something?? I had to wait until it looked like it was done. Cancel button does nothing even when its done? I clicked the X and this time it told me there was an error. Well, I knew that.

@Dustin5C22 instead of closing the dialog box, have you tried to choose cloud or local then hit cancel when the dialog closes?
