Cannot move objects even after unlocking layers

I am working on a project that did not print correctly.  I Had all of my layers locked (in the "all" setting).  I unlocked all groups and layers, but even when I try to move, I get an error message that I cannot move the layer because linked layers are locked.

 

How can I fix this issue?  I double clicked on some layers to unlock, and unlocked others through the dropdown menu.  I have checked and double-checked the layers, and none of them have a locked icon on them.  What am I doing wrong, here?

Could you possibly have a locked and linked layer tucked away inside a group within the Layers panel?

I have not been able to find anything like that, though I wish that were the case, lol.  I opened each g roup, unlocked those, then every layer thta was inside the groups.  I have even tried closing and re-opening the document, unfortunately to no avail.
