Cannot open Photoshop files!?

Question

New files created after the last Photoshop update doesn't open! It only brings up a new canvas option!! Older psd files opens fine! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!

I've moved your post from Creative Cloud Desktop to the Photoshop forum for you.

What have you tried so far?

Have you reset Preferences after backing them up?

We need a little more information:

What format are you saving the new files in?
Where are you saving them?
How are you trying to open them?
Recents? File > Open? Finder/File Explorer?
What happens when you try to open them?
If you get an error message, please post a screenshot
What version of Photoshop (not latest)
What version of OS?
