Canon iPF6400 print plug stopped working

I have an old but sweet Canon iPF 6400 printer and from PhotoShop (current version) its plug-in no longer runs. The error message is that it is not installed correctly or at all. It worked as usual a few days ago and many years prior. I suspect a recent update to PS dropped it into the netherworld. 

Does Creative Cloud keep a history so I can revert to the last PS update? Probably I could reinstall the printer plug-in but I would loose all my preset paper sizes etc.
