I'm torn between posting this in the SDK tag and the "Actions and Scripting" tag. Anyhow:

If you're creating extensions, panels, integrations, or add-ons for Photoshop, be sure to check out this Adobe Tech Blog article: https://medium.com/adobetech/classic-extensibility-update-cep-9-4-and-exmancmd-7-8-are-out-now-plus-estk-news-85db28a891b3?source=friends_link&sk=46191095547bc336266a230e03c770d2

There are no major updates to this version of CEP, it's mostly updates for the MAX releases of Creative Cloud products, Catalina compatibility, and bug fixes.

When it comes to Photoshop 2020 in particular, there are a couple of known issues so far:

  1. cep.fs.showOpenDialog crashes panel across macOS versions: https://github.com/Adobe-CEP/CEP-Resources/issues/256 This is being addressed by the CEP team
  2. The path in documentAfterSave in Photoshop changed between 2019 and 2020.
It used to give file:///Macintosh HD/Users
    Now it gives: file:////Users

#2 is just kind of a heads up while I investigate further.

Beside documentation on GitHub, may I ask, would you know of a really good tutorial for beginners on CEP? I'm currently writing a project in ExtendScript for InDesign and I'd love to port it over. Thank you kindly, and best wishes for the new year.
