Question

Changing <Enter> key behavior in dialogue boxes...?

I've tried posting this and keep getting errors about HRML codes in my text (whaaaa...?). Also, I can't see any posts in the forum; for all I know, it's completely broken. Anyway, I'm trying to change the behavior of the key in dialogue menus. See, in literally every other program, hitting while typing a parameter will confirm the parameter but NOT execute the function, whatever it may be. But in Photoshop, if I type in a value and hit , that's the equivalent of clicking "Ok"...and that's not okay. Is there any way to change this behavior? Cuz it's a gigantic pain in the butt since my instinct is to hit after typing because, as I said, literally every other program does it that way.

I've moved your post from Using the Community to the Photoshop forum.

You mentioned dialog boxes. The behavior for dialog boxes is that the active Command button is the one that will be applied when Enter is hit. The Tab key moves the focus. This has been true since at least Window 2.0 when most users did not own a mouse.

Can you give a specific instance where this is an issue? I may very well be misunderstanding your question.
