Classic Gradient Tool can't pick colors using alt key

Since the last update which changed the gradient tool, if I try to use the classic option I can't color pick using Alt key, I have to open Gradient Editor window and change the color of the color stops. Had the same problem in past versions but got fixed recently, now it's back.
