Question

Color lookup creating a black screen

I'm trying to apply the Soft_Warming.look LUT to an image. This makes the entire canvas black. Most other LUTs and .look files work, some others also create this black canvas.

Adobe Photoshop Version: 26.0.0 20240927.r.26 a733fda x64
Operating System: Windows 11 64-bit

I've seen previous versions of Photoshop ran into similar issues (dating back to 2016/2018) and the suggestions I found were to launch as adminsitrator in compatability mode (Win 7 compatability).

I tried this and my stylus immediately stops working on my pen display until I close Photoshop again. So this soloution is not a viable option for me.

How can I get LUTs to work correctly without the black canvas issue? Is this a result of a recent Windows Update? Is Adobe actively working on a bug fix for this?

Cheers

@david_9075 just tested all the LUT's on my system, and they're all working fine, Photoshop version 26.1 on Windows 10, have you tried manually resetting your Photoshop preferences

Remember to back up your settings before doing the preference reset
