Currently running PSD 26.4.1

I kept waiting for an update to fix this and it hasn't. I would really like to fix this without haveing to RESET everything or re-install.

Suggestions? Adobe do you know about this?

(eit: added sys info as requested)

At this stage, ensure there are no stale preferences in your Photoshop. You can go to the location of the preference folder below and rename it to back it up. (https://adobe.ly/3u7u84j) This method is more effective compared to the in-app Reset Preferences at quit method. Also, with this method, you can restore your preferences using the backup folder.

macOS: Hold down the Option key in the Finder when using the Go menu. The library will appear below the current user's home directory.

Library > Preferences > Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings

Rename the Adobe Photoshop folder by adding a .old at the end. (Adobe Photoshop 2025 > Rename > Adobe Photoshop 2025.old)

This will give a fresh start to Photoshop as a new installation.

Let me know if it helps. Thanks!

Ok I added the requested text file with the PSd system info.

If I have to install the beta I will but I would rather not. This is a brand new Macbook M4 that PSD was installed in the last 30 days. I did a fresh install.

As for trouble shooting I tried switching the Color Pallete to other color modes and don't see any problems with the other color slider modes.

thank you

Thanks for sharing these details. The attachment for System info isn't attached to your post yet. Trying Photoshop (beta) is optional, and it'll help us verify if the issue exists in the most recent build of Photoshop and enable the team to deliver the fix faster.

You can update Photoshop to v26.4.1, available now via the Creative Cloud desktop app. A short video of this behavior will help further.

Thanks!

Hey, @angryf84. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. Thanks for adding the screenshot. I'll need more information to help you figure this out. Please share screenshots about this and the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

Does it behave as mentioned after a specific set of steps? What troubleshooting steps have you tried already?

Also, please test and confirm if the issue exists with Photoshop (Beta). You can get Photoshop (beta) from the Creative Cloud > Apps tab > Beta Apps section.

Thanks!
