Color picker bug in Blending Options

The color picker in Photoshop highlights the hex value by default when the color picker panel is opened. However, this behaviour does not occur anymore when the color picker is triggered from any of the blending options, such as the stroke or color overlay tab.

And yes I switch between Win 10 and Mac frequently, this inconsistency in behaviour kills workflow efficiency.
