Color swatches bug- background color instead of foreground

Hello everyone,

Since the last Photoshop update, when I select a color from the Swatches panel to use it, the program changes the background color instead of changing the foreground color as it always did. When I use the Color Picker to pick a color of the document it works okay, it's just happening with the Swatches panel, and the only thing I've been able to do by now is selecting a color from the Swatches panel, then press X to switch background and foreground colors, and then draw. It's so annoying to paint like this! It makes my workflow so slow and forced... Could someone help me with this, please? Thank you!

Okay guys, I found the solution- just reset the Preferences!

It's really basic, but it worked. So if you struggle with something similar, just give it a try!

Could you please post screenshots taken at View > 100% with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Color, Options Bar, …) visible?
