Contact Sheet II outputs only one image per page in latest version (works in older versions)

No matter what options I select in Contact Sheet II I only get one image per page. I does create a page with one image and then a blue outline dances around the screen. The only way out is to end the process. It's working just fine in version 26.3.0. My version that is not working is 26.7. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you triggering the Script from the menu or from Bridge?

Thank you for responding! This is a new Photoshop build and I've copied files (brushes etc.) from my old installation to this one. The screen shots are of the 1 image per page with the "dancing" blue "boxes".

I am unsure what the screenshots are supposed to indicate.

What have you done for all-purpose trouble-shooting so far?
Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

Could you please post screenshots or a screens recording taken at View > 100% with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible?
