Question

Content aware fill leaving opaque remnants

I'm extremely new to photoshop but I am trying to use the content aware fill but it is leaving behind an opaque version of the text that was there before. The highlighted text is what it looks like after I use content aware fill and the text below it is similar to what it looks like before I use it.

It could be a really easy fix but I'm not sure how to change any settings that might be affecting this, I have tried just filling it twice but it misses some of the text and I'm not sure how to manually select the rest of it, but that isn't a great solution anyways. I am using photoshop 2025 on windows if it helps.

Hey, @social_creation4376. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll need more information to help you figure this out. Please share the system information from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

Does this only happen when you work with a previously Enhanced image? Have you tried using the Remove Tool? It should give you the desired results: https://adobe.ly/4frphgb

If you only see this issue Content Aware Fill, please share a sample PSD with me along with a video showing your workflow with me via direct message.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!
