Context Aware Fill isn't working and now it isn't even an option???!!!

So I'm new to photoshop and I open it up and I start working on a project, right. Basically I'm trying to start a bit advanced (begineer-advanced) since I have graphic design expierence already, so I attempt to do a jersey swap, where you pretty much change the jersey of a player who just switched teams. I go through the first few steps, slected the jersey and masking it as it's own layer or whatever, and now I want to hide a logo on the jersey, so I lasso it and go to fill and do context aware fill. It doesn't do anything. I click done and it doesn't even load or anything! It just ignores me, how rude! So y'know I keep trying and watching tutorials but nothings working. Then, after a bit the option for filling in a lasso or selected thing doesn't even exist anymore! Like, it exists, but it's gray and unclickable. Yes, even the one when you click the edit thing next to files. Is there any fix to all this???
