contextual toolbar missing generate option

The other night I opened photoshop, was able to see the generate option with prompt field upon starting a new file. That option is gone. The only option I can get is "import image". If I import an image, the options are to select background, but I cannot get back the option to generate an image at all.

I can still do that fine in the online version of photoshop. Any suggestions?
