Control panel in Windows

Hi, I am a Photoshop instructor for years so I think I have a good knowledge of all ins and outs in the app. But recently, when teaching online, I have noticed that some options in the control panel, like for instance the checkbox for Content Aware, have been replaced for some Windows users with an icon. It´s the same setting, but it´s not that obvious to the user and it´s not for everyone, just for some users. In our classroom we have like 40 Windows and Mac computers and Photoshop looks exactly the same on every computer so I can not check this out for myself.

Is there a special version of Photoshop for Windows laptops which shows settings like icons instead of text? And if there is, how can I get hold of some screenshots so that I can compare the regular control panel with that special one. And is there a way to toogle this setting back and forth.

Could be "enable narrow options bar" in preferences. I think that replaces some text with icons.

BTW it's known as options bar in Photoshop, control panel in other Adobe apps. Not vey consistent.
