Copy and Paste Functionality on iPadiOS is Broken.

Copy and Paste functionality broken in Photoshop iPadiOS. It was previously possible to copy images from iPad photos, or Keynote and paste them into Photoshop. This appears to no longer be the case. Either the option to Paste is greyed out, or nothing appears after Paste is selected. Please advise as to when we can expect repairs to this feature. Functionality of the app is severely hindered as a result. Thanks.

Hi @Winchester! Just a quick thing to check—on the iPad, there's a setting under iOS Settings > Apps > Photoshop > Paste from Other Apps that needs to be set to either ‘Ask’ or ‘Allow’ for pasting to work. If it’s set to ‘Deny’, nothing will happen when trying to paste.

Could you take a look and see if that setting might be the issue? It’s a quick thing to try that might unblock things.

Thanks so much!
Alek

Hi @pjglad,

Thanks for checking and sharing the screenshot!

I just tested this on my iPad, and I’m still able to copy and paste from other apps into Photoshop. If you don’t see the “Paste from Other Apps” option in Settings, don’t worry, you can trigger it again by simply copying an image from another app (like Photos or Safari), then switching to Photoshop and tapping Paste.

This should prompt a permission request asking whether to allow pasting. Once accepted, the setting will reappear under Settings > Photoshop > Paste from Other Apps, and pasting should work normally going forward.

Let me know how it goes!

Best,
Anshul

Hi @Winchester, welcome to the community!

I don’t have an iPad available to test this at the moment, but I’ve reached out to the rest of the team to see if they can help. In the meantime, it would be great if you could share a bit more about the issue—like which version of Photoshop you’re using and what version of iPadOS your device is running. If you're able to send over a quick video showing the issue, that would really help us take a closer look.

Thanks so much!
Alek
