corner resizing of floating windows and resize zoomed window broken in recent Mac build

Recent build 27.9.x seems to have completely broken resizing from four corners which I use all the time. It just moves the window now. Also, resize zoomed window also broken. Note that this is in non-Application Frame mode.

Same issue here, and I can narrow it down.

Setup: Photoshop 2026 (latest), macOS 27.0 Golden Gate, MacBook Pro (Apple Silicon). Floating document windows. Reproducible with the built-in trackpad, so it is not an input-device problem (I also use a Wacom Intuos Pro, same behavior).

Behavior:
- Bottom-left and bottom-right corners: resize works normally, grabbing anywhere in the corner zone.
- Top-left and top-right corners: grabbing the corner INSIDE the window bounds starts a window move instead of a resize. Resize only happens if I grab the corner 3–5 px OUTSIDE the window edge.
- Finder and other native apps resize fine from all four corners with the same gesture, so this is specific to Adobe's document window frame.

So the hit-test for the top corners looks wrong: the part of the corner resize zone that lies inside the window is being claimed by the title bar (move), leaving only the outside sliver for resize. With Tahoe's large corner radius that outside sliver is all that's left, which is why it feels like resizing is "broken". Same symptom in Illustrator's floating document windows.

Happy to provide a screen recording if still needed, but the reproduction is deterministic: top corner inside the bounds → move; 3–5 px outside → resize; bottom corners → resize anywhere.

Thanks for clarifying that you’re referring specifically to resizing floating Photoshop document windows while Application Frame is disabled.

Could you please share a few additional details so we can investigate this further?

Go to PS Help > System Info > Copy and paste the contents here.
Please share a short screen recording showing the cursor at the corner of a floating document window and what happens when you attempt to resize it.
Are you using only the Mac’s built-in display, or an external monitor as well? If external, please provide the monitor make/model, resolution, and how it’s connected (HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-C, dock/adapter, etc.).
Does the behavior occur on all four corners of the window?
Does resizing from the sides or the bottom edge still work normally?

Also, have you already tried manually backing up and resetting Photoshop’s preferences? If not, please rename the existing Photoshop Settings folder rather than deleting it, then launch Photoshop so it creates a fresh set of preferences and test again.

If you can reproduce the behavior with fresh preferences, the screen recording and System Info should give us what we need to investigate the 27.9.x behavior further.

Please expand your description -- resizing what? A selection? I just tried selecting a color, then control-T to transform the selection. I was able to grab a handle then resize the selection.

Can you capture your experience then paste the video?

Ps 27.9.1 under Tahoe 26.6.2

addendum: if one places the cursor within the bounds of the selection, the cursor changes from an double-headed arrow [⟷] to an arrow-head [➤] which will move the selection instead of resizing when clicked in the selection.
