Could not complete command because of program error.

Hello, 

 

I am attempting to use tranform tools but am getting this error message:

"Could not complete command because of program error."

 

I just updated to the latest version of photoshop and it did not correct the bug.

Any ideas?

Hi @J_ID Go to Photoshop Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details in a reply. Post only once as the system takes time to process the large amount of data. 

 

In the meantime try these steps (restart PS after each and check):

Go to Photoshop Preferences/Performance and turn off Multithreaded Compositing.

Go to Photoshop Preferences/Technology Preview and check “Disable Native Canvas”.

Go to Photoshop Preferences/Technology Preview check “Use Older GPU Mode (2016)”.

 

If none of these work submit the system info.

Glad to hear it worked @J_ID - however you should look at your GPU setup too - you have two GPUs one underpowered (Intel UHD) and your main one. Here’s how to resolve: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu-graphics-card.html#multiple-gpus

Ok, I switched PS over to the better GPU. Thanks!

    Hi @J_ID Go to Photoshop Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details in a reply. Post only once as the system takes time to process the large amount of data. 

     

    In the meantime try these steps (restart PS after each and check):

    Go to Photoshop Preferences/Performance and turn off Multithreaded Compositing.

    Go to Photoshop Preferences/Technology Preview and check “Disable Native Canvas”.

    Go to Photoshop Preferences/Technology Preview check “Use Older GPU Mode (2016)”.

     

    If none of these work submit the system info.

      I am also having the same problem with my new version of Photoshop... I've turned off Multithread composting... and do not have the option for the other two that you listed... Any thought or help is much appreciated.
