Could not save as psd because the document is too heavy - the document is 220 Mo

Hi, I'm on Photoshop 26.8.1. I have a document of 600dpi, 41x29 centimeters... When I try to save it as .psd, I have the error message saying that the document is too heavy, over 2Go, and that I have to save it as .psb... But when I save it as .psb, the document is just 225 Mo (When I save it as .tif, it's 218 Mo)... What's the bug ? Thank you.

I have "solved" the problem : I had elements of the image that were not visible on the image but continued beyond the borders of the document. After I copy-pasted this layer to make sure everything that was beyond the limits of the document was cut, I could save the file as .psd.

Hey, @jeromea13244388. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out.

Please share the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

Where do you keep the original document? Is it stored on an external drive or in a folder associated with cloud backup services? Does this happen when saving a document with many layers & smart objects?

In Photoshop, go to Edit > Preferences> File Handling and check if 'Disable Compression for PSD & PSB files' is toggled off.

Awaiting your response.
Thanks!

Why 600 PPI (not DPI)?
