Could not use Liquify tool because of memory resources PS 25.6

Hello,

My workflow is messed up and I am so frustrated. Something has changed in Photoshop this year. Some functions have been improved but liquify is still causing problems. I've been using Photoshop for years and never had this problem. I have to close documents and restart the app every 20 min. Does anybody have a solution for this?
