Creating striking Logo for a Website

Hey Adobe fam!

So, I'm diving into creating a logo for<removed link>using Photoshop. Now, I'm not a total pro, just a regular person trying to make something cool. Got some questions, and maybe you can help?1. Colors - What Works?: Thinking about colors, you know? Like, what shades give off that pro plumbing vibe while looking good?

2. Fonts - What's Hot?: Fonts are a thing, right? Any cool suggestions that scream "trustworthy plumbing site"?

3. Icons - Yay or Nay?: Want to add some plumbing touches. How do I put those in without making it too much or too little?

4. Size Matters?: What's the right logo size? Don't want it looking wonky on different screens.

5. Background Drama: Transparent or solid color background? Does it matter, and why?

    In general, a logo should be an easily identifiable mark that represents a company. The rationale for a color could represent a name or location, or it could tie into what the company does. You might think about the design first because you may want to use the logo in black and white. Fonts should be easily readable and identifiable even if the logo is drastically reduced in size. That reduction in size idea should also apply to the complexity of any icons that are incorporated. A logo may wind up being a variety of sizes, so you might actually want to design it in Illustrator as opposed to Photoshop because Illustrator is vector-based and not raster-based (pixels).  I wouldn't recommend doing much with a background--it might change depending on what you want to do with your logo (it could go on shirts with various patterns, business cards, advertisements, etc.)
