hello,

i am new to this because I never usually have any problems.  However, I have recently been getting a "pop up" on my Mac Desktop that says.....Creative Cloud Content Manager.app cant open may be damaged.  How do I fix this?

Thank you.

Rather than give straight answers, company's like these use forums to send people down meandering roads. "oh try this. Now try that. Ok then try this.".  You would think if you're paying for a product, they would have an answer rather than a wild goose chase — not just this company, but multitudes of them.

@j8sin I don't agree with your statement.... unless we are sitting beside them, it can be a one thing, or it can be a multiude of things combined. For example, if you drive a car, and it stopped suddenly.... would you go out and buy a new car? Wouldn't you want to check out why it just stopped suddendly. Maybe you just run out gas? Or maybe there if you drove an EV, you ran out of electricity. Maybe, there was an auto shut off. Again, you can repeat the same issue again after buying that new car. Unless, you are super rich, what many people are trying to do here is give 'try this!'

Hey there,

Try these few steps and let us know if this helps.

  • Reset the Creative Cloud desktop app by making sure it's in the foreground, then press:
    Windows: Ctrl + Alt + R
    macOs: Cmd + Opt + R

  • If that fails, repair https://adobe.ly/3WWy1UD
  • If that fails, uninstall using the correct uninstaller from https://adobe.ly/3LV6hKJ... and then reinstall.
  • If that fails, do a clean Creative Cloud install carefully following each applicable step: uninstall every Creative Cloud app including preferences per https://adobe.ly/3LTvu8e
  • Then uninstall the Creative Cloud desktop app, again using the correct uninstaller per https://adobe.ly/3LV6hKJ...
  • Clean your computer of Creative Cloud files per https://adobe.ly/3LVzt4l
  • Check for available update on your Operating System.
  • Restart your device (don't skip this).
  • Reinstall the Creative Cloud desktop app using the "alternative download links" at the bottom of the page at https://adobe.ly/3LUrTXB

Let us know if this helps

Thanks,

Shivani

No...nothing helped and when I tried to delete the first app...Lightroom...I got an error and had to reboot my computer...now I cannot even open Creative Cloud

If anyone can help me...I would greatly appreciate it.  I do not use the creative cloud apps often, but I like having it when I need it.  This pop up is annoying and happens even if I am not using the app.  Now I get a pop-up that says:  "Adobe Creative Cloud is needed to resolve this problem.  However, it is missing or damaged.  Please download and install a new copy of the Creative Cloud from 'http://www.adove.com/go/abodeceativeloudapp'"  with options at the bottom to "Quit" or "Repair"...Very frustrating.
