For the past 2 weeks, the creative cloud desktop won’t update. However, whenever photoshop, lightroom updates get one they come through fine. Have reinstall, clean and nothing. any ideas. It keeps throwing this at me. TIA

If your on Windows 10, then this is an issue that hopefully will be fixed.

Error 190 is usually an indication that the system does not meet the requirements of the app. That said, if Lightroom and Photoshop are updating OK, that would seem to be contradictory.

The requirements for the CC desktop app are here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/download-install/apps/system-requirements/creative-cloud-desktop-app-system-requirements.html

You could try running Microsoft’s DISM and SFC commands to enure your system is not corrupt.

I ran all three DISM commands, says not store corrupted files. Also, SFC /scannow now was good too. As long as it keeps Photoshop updated, I’m ok as everything is backed up locally. I’m guessing Adobe is following Mickeysofts trail and ditching loyal users for more control!

If this has persisted for 2 full weeks, I’d uninstall-reinstall the CC desktop app.

According to this -

https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/apps/manage-apps/creative-cloud-desktop-app/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

- that requires first uninstalling the individual apps, which is a bit of a bother, but if you check the box to keep all preferences, they should pick right up when you reinstall them.
