Creative Suite/Extensis Connect Font activation issues

Photoshop and all the Creative Suite programs do not activate fonts in Extensis Connect Fonts when I open an existing document. If I manually activate the font in Connect Fonts, it is not recognized in any of the Creative Suite programs despite Creative Suite recognizing other activated Connect Fonts.

It looks like it might be an Adobe issue, I found this in an Illustrator thread about the same issue in Illustrator and that Adobe is addressing it in their next update: https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/fonts-management-in-illustrator-29-8-1-doesnt-work-anymore/m-p/15521225

I did find a workaround for now from someone with the same issue on a Windows computer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXgHikuZBPQ

I tried something similar on my M3 Mac and it worked. I went to Users/myloginname/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop 2025 and added a Fonts folder to it. Because I wasn't sure exactly which Library folder exactly corresponded to the Windows folder, I also added a Fonts folder to Users/myloginname/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop 2025 Settings. So far it seems to be working, I hope that helps!

@Randall_H_33161 @yvonne_3363 do you mean Creative Cloud? The issue is with Connect Fonts, not Adobe. Check your Connect Fonts app for plugin updates for your software.

If you have updated and its still not working with auto activate, uninstall the plugins using Connect Fonts and reinstall again with the Adobe applications quit.

Specifically I mean Photoshop, it is where the most issues are showing up. I have already uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted and repeated several times. Veteran user here, and as I am sure you are aware, sometimes it is something that Adobe has done that causes the plugins to go wacky, so a note in both communities tends to gets things figured out faster. But thank you for your response, it is on point.

@yvonne_3363 unfortunately it's not tail wagging the dog. It's up to Extensis to update their plugins to work with Photoshop, not the other way around. I would reach out to them for assistance.

BTW I'm on Mac Sequoia, M1 running latest PS build with ConnectFonts Version 26.0.4 (12030) without issue in PS.

I also have this issue, it is very frustrating. It started for me with the latest PS update.
