Critical workflow error
Subject: Critical workflow regression in Photoshop Actions (v27.6)
Hello Adobe Team,
I am a professional wedding photographer and a paying Creative Cloud subscriber. I have also invested thousands of euros in professionally developed Photoshop actions over the years.
With the latest Photoshop update (v27.6), the new Actions panel has fundamentally changed the way actions work. One of the most important features for my workflow appears to be missing: the ability to create new actions by recording and combining existing actions.
For years, my workflow has been:
Create a new action.
Press Record.
Run several purchased actions.
Adjust layer opacities and settings.
Stop recording.
This allowed me to build custom looks and maintain a consistent editing style for my clients while saving countless hours of work.
Now this workflow no longer functions as it did before. As a result:
I can no longer combine my purchased actions into new master actions.
My editing time has increased significantly.
My business efficiency has been negatively affected.
A workflow that I have built over many years has been disrupted.
I pay for my Adobe subscription every month, and I have legally purchased all of these actions. I believe I should still be able to use them in the way Photoshop allowed for many years.
This is not simply a new interface—this is the removal or limitation of a core professional workflow that many photographers rely on every day.
I respectfully ask Adobe to restore this functionality, or at the very least provide an option to use the legacy Actions behavior for professional users who depend on it.
Please do not remove features that professionals have built their businesses around.
Thank you for your time, and I sincerely hope this issue will be addressed in a future update.
