Using the crop tool in PS2026 i’ve run into an issue where putting in defined ratio of crop doesn’t work.  when I don’t put any info in the top bar (clear info) crop tool works fine.

image included shows what it crops down to. and original info and image

Hi @stewartm84457287, thanks for reaching out!

Looking at the screenshot you’ve shared, the defined width and height are only in pixels which will give you the result you are getting. If you’re looking for a 6x4 aspect ratio, try higher numbers like 600x400 or 6000x4000.

If you continue to experience the same behavior, try resetting the tool using the steps suggested here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/basic-troubleshooting.html#tool

Let us know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Nikunj

    Hi @stewartm84457287

In addition to what @nikunj.m mentions, you can trying using use the Ratio crop from the drop down tool menu. It will keep your resolution and just crop to the ratio/size you want.
