Not a chance in He double toothpicks that cs5 will install and run properly on macOS Catalina 10.15

The reason is apple has depreciated 32 bit on macOS Catalina, meaning only 64 bit applications will run on Catalina, even though photoshop cs5 is 64 bit, a lot of components included that cs5 depends on to work properly are 32 bit.

In order to use photoshop on Catalina you'd need a subscription to the creative cloud photography plan for around $10 a month.

Thanks, Manan,

I have a serial number für CS 5. Well, I didn`t use it on my old mac for a long long time, but now, I want to use it on my new one (catalina).

Is there any chance, to get an update to the new 64-bit-version? I´m a custom and I paid for it and have a serial number for CS 5. What do I have to do, to get a newer photoshop, working on my mac - without loosing my further payment?

Has anyone an idea?

Tommes, the problem is the OS that you have. It won't support that old a software. Adobe would not produce a new version of CS5 for Catalina since they don't sell it anymore. My advice is that you either secure an old MAC with the needed OS installed. Or look at Virtual Machines like VMWare Fusion

CS5 is a very old version, this won't be supported on Catalina OS. If you want to use it you will have to remain on the older OS
