CS6 files- how to continue in CC?

Hi, I have an iMac with High Sierra OS. I want to purchase a new Mac, with higher OS- but all my files are created in Adobe CS6- (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) -how can I continue to work on those file (in CC?) - or am I loosing my decade long jobs?

The current Creative Cloud versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign open old versions. I have opened Photoshop and Illustrator files I created in the 1990s.

Thank you, though I have now iMac with HIGH SIERRA OS, which is fine with CS6 -In a new Mac though, -with CATALINA OS- will I be able to continue working on those Adobe CS6 files in any format? - or am I loosing my decade long jobs?

First, you are not going to lose old documents. As I said earlier, newer versions, including the current versions, can open older documents.

 

However, your Creative Suite 6 (CS6) versions might not run in macOS 10.15 Catalina. That is the version where Apple started modernizing and increasing security of more code, creating more incompatibilities with older software. InDesign CS6 is definitely not compatible with macOS 10.15 Catalina
