Cursor Stuck in Crosshairs

Question

I'm on the latest Photoshop 27.2, and this started with that update. First, caps lock is not on. I've read back to 2017 on various fixes for crosshairs being stuck and tried all of the answers I found, and I'm still stuck. I've even got a brand new, shiny Apple keyboard (without cookie crumbs in the keys-don't judge!).

I've rebooted, tried every single combination of settings for Cursors and still whining about this issue. Any more ideas?

Welp, the good news I rebooted my system again this morning and voila! I can switch from crosshairs to brush tip using Caps Lock. I have rebooted at least six times since this started, but seven must be the charm! All is well that ends well! Thank you tio anyone who read my pitiful plea for help and cheered me on!

Here we go! I'm not sure how to get a screen grab of taking a screen grab, so here is all I came up with. I tried every single combo again, just to be sure. I also rebooted system, then restarted Photoshop 3x now. If this is like other times, I will quit obsessing/overthinking every nuance of this issue and in a day or so it will be sorted out. One can hope! I'm such a tunnel vision, hyper-focused, creature of habit that if one part of the carefully crafted system is throw off I tend to tumble down a rabbit hole of trying to figure it out. Thank you for your support!
