Das "Entfernen-Werkzeug" lässt sich nicht verwenden.

Seit dem letzten Update von Photoshop auf 26.10.0 (Studio Mac) kann ich das „Entfernen-Werkzeug“ (mal wieder) nicht mehr verwenden. Auf dem Bild erscheint ein „Verboten“-Cursor.

 

Ich habe bereits nach dem Problem gesucht und die Tipps befolgt:

- Beta-Version deinstalliert

- PS 26.10.0 deinstalliert und als einziges PS neu installiert

- Gerarive KI an / aus

- Guthaben für genarive KI ist ausreichgend vorhanden

Die Dateien sind normale JPGs, RGB, keine gesperrten Ebenen oder Einstellungsebenen usw.

Das Problem tritt exakt genauso auf meinem Laptop auf.

 

Ich hatte das schon einmal, aber es hat sich dann irgendwann von selbst gelöst.

 

Woran kann das liegen?

Thanks for sharing the screenshot and the updates. Please share the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

 

I'll move this to discussions for now. Please ensure there are no stale preferences in your Photoshop. You can go to the location of the preference folder below and rename it to back it up. (https://adobe.ly/3u7u84j)

This method is more effective compared to the in-app Reset Preferences at quit method. 

 

macOS: Hold down the Option key in the Finder when using the Go menu. The library will appear below the current user's home directory.

Library > Preferences > Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings

Rename the Adobe Photoshop folder by adding a .old at the end. (Adobe Photoshop 2025 > Rename > Adobe Photoshop 2025.old)

 

This will give a fresh start to Photoshop as a new installation.

Yes, with every image on both computers. On one of them, I removed PS and installed the latest beta version. Everything works fine with that.

A screenshot is not possible because the cursor changed during execution. So here is a photo...

Hello @Sameer K , after performing a reset as described, a message appeared explaining why the tool cannot be used: Photoshop is running in Rosetta.

Thank you for the tip about the reset.

 

Is it possible that the tool worked with Rosetta in previous versions?

Due to the use of two export plugins, I always had PS running with Rosetta.

Thanks for sharing these details and the steps you’ve already tried. To better understand what’s happening, could you please provide a screenshot or, if possible, a short video showing the issue in action? That would help us see exactly when the “forbidden” cursor appears and narrow down possible causes.

 

Just to confirm—does this happen with every image you open or only with certain files?
