delete key for removing anchor points in the lasso not working

Hello, the delete key for removing anchor points in the lasso selection has stopped working... the escape key for exiting doesn’t work either... with every Photoshop update, something always stops functioning... why? The program isn’t cheap, and I pay for it honestly... with every update, I face a new problem...! Does anyone know what to do about this? I can’t remove anchor points, and it’s really slowing down my work.. 😕😕

    Not working for me either which makes the software nearly unusable...

    Hey, @Slivova. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll help you figure this out. It would be helpful if you could share the System Info from Photoshop. You can find this by going to Help > System Info and copying the details.

     

    Does this issue happen after performing specific steps or actions? This might help us identify any patterns or triggers.

     

    Ensure there are no stale preferences in your Photoshop. Go to the location of the preference folder below and rename it to backup.

    • Windows 10/11: Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop [version]/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings
    • You can press Press the Windows key > Enter 'Run' > Enter %APPDATA%\Adobe
    • Rename the Adobe Photoshop folder by adding a .old at the end. (Adobe Photoshop 2024 > Rename > Adobe Photoshop 2024. old), you can later restore these preferences if needed.(https://adobe.ly/4860qM9)
    • Restart the computer.

    These changes will give a fresh start to Photoshop as a fresh install. Let me know how it goes.

    "Unfortunately, the guide didn’t help; Photoshop is up to date. This issue started right after the update and still persists. For example, if I use the Magnetic Lasso, I can’t remove anchor points that could originally be deleted with the Delete key. I can’t even exit the selection with the Escape key. This is a big problem because when using the lasso, I can't remove points that I need to fix.......Thanks for help.
