disable automatic extend+smoothness of the selection in AI Generative (v26.1)

Question

Hi, I did the last update on photoshop this morning, this greatly increases generative content quality, though there is something I noticed that bother me... now the selection you make to generate ai content is automatically smoothed and extended which makes more " precised " manipulations very tricky... I was wondering if there was a way to disable that ? I like to use generative ai prompt to remove elements on my image, it usually gives better result than every other tools

I think I noticed that for quite a while. I think the idea is to also generate parts of the surrounding areas to better integrate the newly generated bit to the background.
I don't think you can disable it, but what I do is that I create an accurate selection from the start (my tool of choice is nearly always the pen tool) and save that selection/path, then when my new layer is generated, I will mask that layer using my selection/path, and tweak the feather slider to suit.

Just to reiterate, it's not new for me, it's something that occared less in the past, I think it's part of an improved feature, more than anything else. Of course, it would be nice to have more control, but here it is.
