Question

Disappointed there are no fixes to the "photo restoration" A.I. in the new Beta version

I was so excited to try this new beta version of Photoshop thinking at very least they would have changed the message "we've temporarily disabled this filter because of an error"...  which should read something like, "the faces in this picture can't be properly enhanced so this feature is disabled for this image"...and then automatically pull down the facial enhancement slider instead of having to do that manually.

The big "t" shaped artifact is still there as well with lower contrast images, dividing the image into distinct quadrents. What's up with that?

It does seem like the software is better at enhansing faces that are smaller in the picture than it was able to do in the past, which would be great but this is probably also just my imagination or luck of the draw.

Does anyone know if there has been changes to the "photo restoration" feature?

Thanks

Greg

Please report these issues in the Photoshop beta forum. Beta software is for testing, not production, and expected to have bugs.

I don't know that there's anything to report other than it's the same as it ever was. They probably know this already because I think they didn't do any work on that part of the software.

Perhaps in doing so though, they might fix it

Reports also help prioritize what the engineers work on.
