Displace Filter taking more than 10x longer in PS 26.2

Hi there,

Something seems to have gone wrong with the Displace Filter in PS 26.2.

I've run the same test on two machines and had the same results - it's taking 10 to 15 times longer than in prior versions. I'll include a screen recording of PS 25.12 compared to PS 26.2.

Using the exact same file, with the exact same displacement map, running it 16 times in a row - I'm seeing:

PS 25.12: about 1.5 seconds

PS 26.1: about 1.5 seconds

PS 26.2: about 20 seconds

PS Beta 26.3: about 20 seconds

I rely pretty heavily on running Displace many times in a row for Ink Bleed effects and a few other things, so it would be greatly appreciated if you could look into this.

Thanks in advance!

Just double checked - Accelerated was already turned on.

I included the action recording in order to directly compare the timing with prior versions, but the performance when using the filter directly is just as delayed. I've also just found that the Radial Blur filter takes about 4x longer than prior versions.

If you or anyone has 26.2 and prior version installed, give it a try.... Using Displace (or Radial Blur) a bunch of times in a row is unmistakeably much slower. I've been able to reproduce on 3 different machines now.

Go to the Actions panel menu > Playback Options and make sure that Accelerated is selected.
