I’ve been experimenting with different mouse DPI settings to see how they affect accuracy in Photoshop, especially during detailed retouching and brush work.
I used an online DPI testing tool called Check Mouse DPI (checkmousedpi dot com) to measure how consistent my mouse movement is at different sensitivity levels.

Based on personal experience, I would say that it can make a difference. Since changing the DPI affects how far the mouse cursor will travel with respect to the physical movement, high DPI settings may have an effect. Personally, I keep the DPI low (around 800) for most of my work in Photoshop, especially when doing brush strokes. Having said that, the quality of the sensor in the mouse can also play a part in how smooth or precise the mouse feels at a certain DPI setting.
