Download Photoshop 2024

I have a regular Adobe Creative Cloud plan. The oldest Photoshop version currently available through Creative Cloud is the 2025 version.

I have a 2019 MacBook Pro and an older iMac, both still very powerful and perfectly suitable for professional work. For quite some time now, however, it has been nearly impossible to work on large projects because the versions released over the past two years are full of bugs and suffer from serious lag across almost every tool.

I have just contacted Adobe Customer Support, and they confirmed that, according to Adobe's policy, the oldest version they can provide is Photoshop 2025. Unfortunately, this does not solve the problem at all.

I rely on Adobe for my work as a professional illustrator, but I simply cannot work properly if the tools do not function as they should. Considering how much I pay for my subscription, I expect to be able to access a version of the software I am paying for that is actually usable on my machines.

I would also genuinely like to know who can afford to replace their computer every two years just to run increasingly inefficient updated versions of the same software. This is ridiculous.

@c.pfaffenbichler I had already exhausted every troubleshooting option available. This included factory-resetting the computers and downloading and testing every older version of the software that was available directly through Creative Cloud. This is not an isolated/individual issue.

I contacted support again, and fortunately, this time I was finally able to get help. The consultant provided me with two different older versions of the software that work with my iMac and MacBook Pro.

I am grateful for the help of that particular consultant, who took the time to understand the issue and find a solution. However, I remain very frustrated that access to older compatible versions is not available directly through the Creative Cloud app. Customers should not have to contact support repeatedly and hope to reach a consultant who is understanding enough to provide solutions.

I spent two precious hours of my working time simply trying to resolve this issue. That should not happen with a paid service, particularly one as expensive as Creative Cloud.

In conclusion, I appreciate the assistance I eventually received, but I am very disappointed with the service as a whole and with the direction in which it seems to be going. As a customer who has been using Adobe products since 2006, I find this especially disappointing. I have been a loyal customer since my teenage years, and I expect a service of this cost and importance to make these kinds of solutions much more accessible.

I hope Adobe will take this feedback seriously and consider making older compatible versions easier for customers to access without requiring lengthy support interactions.

Please see this thread, where it is stated:

Apparently, sometimes people are able to get a link to an older version by talking to Adobe support directly (that is, not through this forum, which is mostly just us users who don’t work for Adobe).

If you want to talk about the actual problems you experience on the two computers please provide details (like OS version etc.), describe the problems and what you have done for trouble-shooting so far.
