As someone who has used Photoshop for years I have had no issues with the line tool. But today I need help to stop coloured lines changing brightness when they move to dark and light areas.

    Try this:

GPU settings in Photoshop are causing conflicts with certain features

Select Edit > Preferences > Performance (Windows) or Photoshop > Settings > Performance (macOS).

Make sure Use Graphics Processor is checked.

    Select Advanced Settings.

Uncheck Use OpenCL and GPU Compositing, and select OK.

    Select OK and restart Photoshop.

Try resetting the tools and/or preferences.

To restore preferences quickly using a keyboard shortcut:

Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) as you start Photoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings. The new preferences files are created the next time you start Photoshop.

Note: Using the keyboard shortcut, preference files for custom shortcuts, workspaces, and color settings will also be reset to default.

Reset Preferences Upon Quitting Photoshop. And well when I moved a dark green line to a dark green area of my edit. It still turns to a light green line and if the same line is moved to a lighter area. The same line returns to my selected colour. Anyway I hope someone else or you can help me find a solution soon. Because until this feature can be disabled. My edit will be delayed.
