Exit Code: 6, Ps Cs5 trial install.

hi, ive downloaded the trial of Photoshop Cs5 but it wont install, i get to about 10% in the install and then i get "Exit Code: 6".

ill begin with my system specs:

(Swedish language) Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 2.40GHz 2.39GHz

4GB Ram

Ati Radeon x1950xTx

Asus P5B deluxe motherboard

1680x1050 Acer P223w screen.

i've cleaned my regestry for problems with "Glarysoft Regestry repair", disabled my ESET NOD32 anti-vir, ran the setup as Administrator, choose to install as trial but i get to about 10% and i get Exit Code: 6.

    I noticed in your bug report that it reads international english. If you live in the USA you have to select North American.

    im swedish, so thats why i chose international  but i have no idea if north american language works now, althrough, it didnt at first.

    I live in USA and I used North America. So that doesnt help.. argh. Could it be a Core 2 Duo thing that Adobe doesnt recognize as a 64 bit chip?

    I've tried to install all the msi installers manually, a longshot that didnt work.

    i tried your approach to it Dec9, but without any luck.

    i have tried to strip it down to just photoshop (deselecting all the extensions etc.) but also that didnt work.

    so, i will back evrything up on my computer, reinstall to 32-bit, and hopefully by monday i will have a computer that is running.

    vista will be my last way out

    In case the installation results in same error code after re downloading and installing as suggested by Barry then please share logs kept at:ProgramFiles(x86)/Common Files/Adobe/Installer/Adobe Photoshop Cs5 logs.

    Can you try downloading the installer again and see if that fixes it? These errors suggest expected files are missing in the installer.

    jabloomf1230 wrote this in an other thread, about Cs5 master collection Exit code: 7. but it should be pretty close, the errormessages i get in the log is "setup program can't find the payloads". so, it may be the installer/setup thats "broken" (or should i call it "non-compatible" with my (swedish) version of Win 7 64-bit?). i will try to re-download the installer again, dosent that work, well, ive probably will do a reinstall of the system to 32-bit win 7, if that dosent work, i have to go back to vista

    but ill post here if i find a solution of the problem, and how i did if so.

    Exit code 7 message is because of another reason.In your case installation is failing because it cannot find payloads to install.Please try to download again once and install,If it is still fails then it is something worth being concerned about. Thanks for bringing in light the severity of this issue as many other are facing it too.
