Question

Export as png cuts off parts off image

I have a lot of psd work files consisting each of three artboards. One main photo, and two pieces taken from the main photo that are going to be building blocks in a digital activity. It is therefore important that they keep their relative size, but I also want to scale them all down.

The best way to accomplish this I figured was to use the “export as”-option with 0.5x size. I also have unchecked the “Smaller File (8-bit)”-option because this made the pieces too jagged at the edge.

But when I then checked the results, I realized that a lot of the images had to a different degree part of one their sides cut off. I figured I can manually go and resize the affected artboards the corresponding amount in order to mitigate this problem – but this is tedious and seems like a hack.

It very much seems like a bug.

(Btw, I also tried using artboards to files earlier, because this could easier be automated with actions – but this seemed to give me some white artifacts at the edges.)

I'm on a M1 mac.

Can you post screenshots? The artboards and the resulting files from exporting them.
